About this shoot:
homfg... MOTION BLUR!!!! My love of cheesy blurring has never been so satisfied! I hope it looks okay!!

This photoshoot took place backstage at Animania because our pilot seats and EVA heads were obviously way too huge to relocate.
~pireze is an absolute god for snapping such great pictures for us before we sadly had to destroy the EVA heads because they were too big to keep.

I apologise for my lack of gloves and therefore shit glove shooping in these photos. We discovered that both *Tsubaki-chan and I were actually violently allergic to the latex material that we used to make our tight suit, and our hands were reacting!! :iconnojoyplz:

I've also had people telling me I am making Shinji more determined and epic than he should be :XD:
I apologize solemnly for that also!!! >_< >_<
I swear this is my scared face!!

About the plugsuit:

The suit itself is patterns and constructed from 0.3mm latex rubber material which *Tsubaki-chan and I bought from an online sex store...:|
The material stretches all ways. It is so...erotic...:XD:

No sewing machine in the world agreed with this material... so I researched and mastered the technique of making latex clothing with rubber cement and latex glue.
The rubber cement worked similarly to the concept of contact bonding. So the whole process involved ALOT of waiting. TT___TT
But as a result of rubber cementing, my suit had virtually no visible seams. So I'm pretty proud!

The chest and shoulder armour is entirely casted from M4503 silicone for a soft, squishy, flexible touch.
I first made a body mould of myself out of plaster bandages. Then reinforced it with fibreglass before sculpting my armour onto the mould with clay.
When the clay was good to go, I drowned the whole thing in resin and fibreglass to copy all the details.
Once that was ready, I had to clean all the clay out (all that fucking clay omfg).
Then when the mould was finally clean, I applied silicone over a few days, then demoulded!

It was the first time I had worked with latex and silicone so the whole costume was a massive challenge. But I'm so very very happy with my result.

About the Entry Plug Seats:
First we went to Reject Shop and bought two office chairs.
Then we used a light plastic which was lined with foam to build the structure of the seat.
All the shapes were hand cut with scissors and then heated with a heat gun into our desired shapes.
We also upholstered our seats, so the seat has very cery comfortable cushions that even the replica in Japan doesn't have :XD:
The whole thing then is coloured with spray paint.... oh my lungs...

About the EVAs
The entire structure is built out of a type of foam called "EVA skins" :XD:
What better thing to build an EVA from than something called
EVA skin?!?
Pretty much it is like building a foam helmet, except much (MUCH) bigger.
The inside of the head is re-inforced by plastic triangles and cardboard triangles (whatever i could spare), to prevent the shape from collapsing in on itself.

The entire thing is built onto two giant sheets of PVC plastic which barely fit in my car.
Then mounted onto a wooden frame and I deisgned with *Tsubaki-chan

The head is separated at the jaw into two parts. So hinges could be installed onto the wooden frames of each part to make the mouth open and close as we pleased.

Finally, the eyes are fitted with remote controlled outdoor lamps which we found at Jaycars, so that they will light up and make a more awesome impact on stage.

More photos coming soon~
Enjoy :)
