It's finally here! This costumes and prop was my half of Team F@P's (*Tsubaki-chan and myself) entry in the Sydney audition round for the World Cosplay Summit Australia selections at Mini Animania 2011!

We safely got through to the finals, and shared equal first place for "Best Performance" award with Team Social Link 9 (~Cattypatra and Rosy), who also got through to the finals that day.

About the costume:

Canti: The entire thing is made from foam mats, sealed in PVA glue then hand painted with acrylic paint. All the colours were mixed by hand so I get the perfect shade of Canti's obscure colours...

His TV screen is a piece of spare perspex from my Siegfried costume supplies

, just covered in reflective blue paint, so I can semi see from one side but people can't really look inside...

The Cannon: First I got an abandoned coffee table top and attached wheels so it to form the base. Then I made the side panels from PVC plastic by heating them to shape, detailing them with smaller pieces of plastic before screwing them onto the base with some metal triangles.
The gross brainy parts is expanding foam sprayed onto a box in manky patterns. I then added some colour alternating LEDs (which were kindly provided by *KrisEz) into the brains.
The barrel of the gun is pretty much a giant cardboard tube decorated with more foam craft and HEAVILY sealed with PVA glue before painting.

Naota: Well... this was just some basic sewing. I had to get out of Naota quickly in the performance so I made it so it was like a stripper's clothes... velcro on the seams so I could RIP OFF MY CLOTHES and flash people if I wanted to.

Been wanting to do a Canti cosplay since forever! Ive been looking at dif ppl's costume versions of him and what they use...what you used i like a lot..and might do! AWESOME JOB!
